CALL FOR CANDIDATES for ELECTION OF BOARD MEMBERS
 
The Annual Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023. 
 
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
An election will be held to fill three positions on the Board of Trustees, each for a term of two years.
To run for the Board of Trustees, candidates are required to:
  • Be a Westridge homeowner as of September 28, 2023.
  • File a Petition of Candidacy, signed by at least ten homeowners (one per household), with the Elections Committee by Thursday, September 28, 2023. Click HERE to print the Petition of Candidacy.
  • Submit a short biographical sketch of no more than 250 words that will be published and sent to all members of the community prior to the election.  Photos no larger than 4”x6” may be submitted, but will not be included with the mailing to all homeowners.  Photos will be displayed at the clubhouse and on the members-only section of the Westridge website.  The Elections Committee will not guarantee publication of biographical information not received by September 28, 2023.  Candidates are responsible for the accuracy and content of their biographies.  Biographies will not be made available to any other candidates prior to the direct mailing.
 
NEIGHBORHOOD BOARDS
An election will also be held to elect members to the neighborhood boards.  Members serve for a term of one year.
To run for election to a Neighborhood Board, candidates are required to:
  • Be a Westridge homeowner as of September 28, 2023.
  • Submit a signed statement of interest to the Elections Committee c/o the Clubhouse no later than Thursday, September 28, 2023.  Email submissions may be sent to hoa@westridgeva.com.

PROPOSED POLICY CHANGES FOR CLUBHOUSE RENTAL
 
The Board of Trustees proposes amendments to the Policy For Using Westridge Swim And Racquet Club Inc. Recreational Facilities as shown on the attached document.
The Board of Trustees will hear comments on the proposed policy changes at their meeting on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.   Comments may be submitted in writing in advance of the meeting via email to hoa@westridgeva.com, hand delivered to the Clubhouse or mailed to Board of Trustees, Westridge Swim and Racquet Club, 12764 Quarterhorse Ln, Woodbridge VA 22192.

 
Call for Volunteers
2023 Elections Committee
 
The Board of Trustees is seeking volunteers to serve on the 2023 Elections Committee.  The committee will consist of 5 to 8 members who must be Westridge homeowners or residents in good standing.  Committee members will be appointed to serve for a term of one year, ending at the time of appointment of the subsequent committee.  The Committee is responsible for coordinating the Meet-the-Candidates Forum and for conducting sign-in and balloting at the Annual Meeting on November 2, 2023.
 
To volunteer, please submit a written request for appointment, no later than August 18th, to the Board of Trustees at 12764 Quarterhorse Lane, Woodbridge, Virginia 22192 or email to hoa@westridgeva.com.  Please indicate if you wish to be considered for the position of committee chair or vice chair.

Saturday & Sunday, September 16 & 17

GOOSE MANAGEMENT
 
The Association employs the services of Windchazer, Inc. to control the population of geese around the pond using trained Border Collies.  For information about this service and answers to frequently asked questions, click HERE
