Trash Containers for Single-family Homes
 
Disposal Services will be delivering new containers to all single-family homes on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 27 and 28. Each single-family home will receive a 95-gallon trash toter and a recycle bin. The recycle bins will be replaced with a 65-gallon recycle toter. However, the manufacturer is not able to provide the recycle toters until November. The recycle bins are provided for use In the interim. Residents may use a larger container for recycling, but must label the container.

2022 ANNUAL MEETING & ELECTIONS NOVEMBER 9, 2022 CALL FOR CANDIDATES
 
The Annual Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. An election will be held to fill four positions on the Board of Trustees, each for a term of two years. Candidates are now being sought for the election.
 
To run for the Board of Trustees, candidates are required to:
  • Be a Westridge homeowner as of October 5, 2022.
  • File a Petition of Candidacy, signed by at least ten homeowners (one per household), with the Elections Committee by Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Petitions are available at the Clubhouse, on TownSq or by clicking HERE. Completed forms should be returned to the Clubhouse or emailed to hoa@westridgeva.com
  • Submit a short biographical sketch of no more than 250 words that will be published and sent to all members of the community prior to the election. Photos no larger than 4”x6” may be submitted, but will not be included with the mailing to all homeowners. Photos will be displayed at the clubhouse and on the members-only section of the Westridge website. The Elections Committee will not guarantee publication of biographical information not received by October 5, 2022. Candidates are responsible for the accuracy and content of their biographies. Biographies will not be made available to any other candidates prior to the direct mailing.
To run for election to a Neighborhood Board, candidates are required to:
  • Be a Westridge homeowner as of October 5, 2022.
  • Submit a signed statement of interest to the Elections Committee c/o the Clubhouse no later than Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Email submissions may be sent to hoa@westridgeva.com.
Nominations from the floor and write-in ballots are not permitted.
 

2022 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
 
In an effort to recognize those members who have generously donated their time and effort to support Westridge, the Board of Trustees is seeking nominations for Volunteer of the Year. Any
 
Westridge resident or member can nominate a volunteer (individual or group) by submitting a nomination narrative. Click HERE for the Nomination Form. Forms are also available at the Clubhouse.
 
You can use any attachments you believe necessary to justify the nomination. Please provide your name and contact information (phone # and e-mail) in the event the Board of Trustees has questions.

TOWNHOME PARKING
 
Attention residents of Wimbley, Highland Chase, Lakeview, and Devonwood Townhome neighborhoods
 
Any vehicle parked in visitor parking in excess of 2 days during a calendar week will be subject to immediate towing at the vehicle owner’s sole risk and expense. Moving a vehicle from one visitor parking space to another visitor parking space does not re-start the day count.
 
Residents expecting a visitor for an extended period must submit a written request to Management and provide: make, model, and color of the vehicle, license plate number, and the dates of the stay. Requests for extended use of visitor parking are subject to the approval of the Neighborhood Board.

GOOSE MANAGEMENT
 
The Association employs the services of Windchazer, Inc. to control the population of geese around the pond using trained Border Collies.  For information about this service and answers to frequently asked questions, click HERE
